Aims Of Project

This project aims to provide information to students about the most important aspects of a balanced diet, its advantages and the damage some unhealthy eating habits can cause to health. In general, the conceptual aspects of the anatomy and physiology of the body, help the students better understand the basic premises and concepts when performing any physical activity. So, apart from the sport practice we intend to teach anatomy and physiology (body posture) from a utilitarian and functional perspective.

Our goal will also be to get our students to do physical activity independently beyond our school boundaries to establish future healthy habits since the ultimate purpose of our project is to strengthen all the healthy habits learned in childhood, correct bad habits acquired and lay the foundation for a full future life of our students. Besides, our proposal tries to settle the basis for a future collaboration beyond the limits of the Erasmus + life. Our target is to create a sport & health European school net which can endure to encourage our students to open their mind to new ways of working and life, feel the need to and see the advantages of collaborating and sharing experiences beyond local boundaries.

On a second phase, we want to create national nets where we can put in practice what we have learned from this European project.

Other objectives are the following:

1.- Urge students to assess the importance of diet in school performance.
2.- Enable students to choose a proper diet outside cultural influences.
3.- Encourage students to assimilate the anatomical and physiological aspects related to the practice of physical activity, highlighting those applicable to the field of nutrition and food.
4.- Promote in our students a critical attitude towards pathological phenomena of great concern as anorexia and bulimia, adopting a positive attitude towards those activities that have a positive effect on health and individual and collective welfare.
5.- Help students to develop a positive attitude towards their body image and life habits that strengthen and protect health.
6.- Making students and teachers aware of the very different realities in issues of health behaviors and sport.
7.- Establish an annual day of Health and Sport in the high schools of the countries involved.
8.- Reduce conflict in schools in establishing sports activities at recess.
9.- Create an international chess club to practice healthy leisure activities and encourage abstract thinking.
10.- Create CLIL activities to develop basic skills.
11.- Create a network of European High Schools linked by sport and health programs seed of future national networks.
12.- Create frames where students have to express themselves in another language and their mother tongue to improve their language skills.
13.- Make our students improve their skills in the use of ICTs and teach them to use social nets responsible.
14.- Create a private Facebook Group to communicate, a blog in each country involved in showing local and international activities and  a common web of the project to disseminate the programme.

15.- Develop attitudes of respect  for  the cultural differences that make up Europe, a critical ability to judge them objectively and to appreciate the common values that unite us all Europeans.
